Get Back Get Back doubles his tally for the season with success at Plumpton

Get Back Get Back doubled his tally for the season with a hard earned victory in a £10,000 Class 3 handicap hurdle at Plumpton on Sunday, 20 September on fast ground that suits him so well.
We had freshened him up and worked hard on his jumping at home since a below par display at Market Rasen last time when the writing was on the wall after early mistakes cost him dear.
He got the strong pace he needs at Plumpton and was pretty much flat out all the way before arriving with a powerful challenge going to the final flight.
A mistake there briefly slowed Get Back Get Back’s momentum before he quickened up smartly to edge ahead in the last thirty yards.
It was good to see him back on an upward curve in the same sort of form that he showed when winning nicely at Uttoxeter in July.
The ability is obviously there when he puts the jumping together and the error at the final hurdle at Plumpton might even have worked in his favour as he is one of those horses who needs to be played as late as possible.
We will hopefully have Get Back Get Back out again while ground conditions are in his favour.
