LOVE ENVOI SECURES COMPREHENSIVE GRADE 2 WIN

 In Uncategorized

Love Envoi extended her season of excellence with her fifth consecutive success in the valuable Grade 2 Weatherbys Jane Seymour Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Sandown on Thursday 17 February.

She has progressed rapidly in the colours of the Noel Fehily Racing Syndicate and hopefully has a big future once she learns to relax in her races.

Love Envoi was very much on her toes in the paddock and keen to post where she anxious to get on with things from flag fall.

So rather than fighting her Jonathan Burke sensibly let her go forward after three flights and once in front she was more settled.

A bad mistake at the second last didn’t help the cause but Love Envoi found more when challenged at the final flight before keeping on to prevail with something to spare.

She must be good to win in that manner despite doing so many things wrong and I’m sure there is room for improvement once we iron out her tendency to be headstrong.

Love Envoi is entered in the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham but that is over the minimum trip of two miles and we will see how she comes out of Sandown before making any firm plans.

With Storm Eunice heading our way on Friday morning we have decided to treat the day as a typical Sunday with just our two Saturday runners being ridden out in the afternoon.
