METIER DOUBLES HIS SCORE FOR THE SEASON AT ASCOT

 In Uncategorized
Metier doubled his score for the season with a resounding victory from the front in the £18,000 Introductory Hurdle at Ascot on Friday 20 November.
He is already looking an exciting addition to the hurdling ranks and we will now have to raise our sights after this latest impressive success.
We didn’t plan to make the running but a dawdle would not have been in his favour so when no-one else was prepared to lead Sean Bowen sensibly took the decision to let him bowl along.
Heading to the final turn the field began to close up but Sean had only been giving Metier a breather and he soon quickened clear again before winging the last and finishing full of running.
Quite where we go next with him is up for debate. At the moment I am toying with the idea of looking at either a Grade 2 hurdle back at Ascot in a month or the Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown at the start of January. It is a nice dilemma to have.
