It was good to see White Hart Lady gain her first success over hurdles at Fontwell on Sunday 14 November after a frustrating campaign last season when nothing seemed to go right for her.

She looked to have a big future after winning a bumper stylishly on her debut at Aintree in October 2019 and some of those she beat that day are now rated in the 130’s over hurdles.

White Hart Lady began to get her career back in track when third at Fontwell last month and built on that with a narrow success in the colours of the Chasing Gold Racing Club off a mark of 85 in a handicap hurdle.

There should be more to come because the steady early pace was not in her favour and she would prefer softer ground.
So, too, would many of our horses but the current dry spell is making life difficult because the going at most racecourses is unseasonably quick.

We have plenty ready to go but are having to be patient because there is hardly any rain forecast in the next week so we may not have many runners over the next seven days.
