Conditions this time were seriously testing after the course passed an early inspection following heavy rain over the previous 48 hours. The ground was certainly slower than our horse really wants.

But he travelled well throughout just behind the leaders, before easing ahead going to the third last and keeping on strongly to beat Game Winner by five and a half lengths.

It was a victory that qualifies How Will I Know for the EBF final at Sandown in the spring. He is due to have his mid winter flu vaccinations this week so will be on the easy list for ten days and is unlikely to run again until February.
