Noel Fehily

One of the most successful and consistent National Hunt jockeys in modern times, Noel has played a massive part in the Harry Fry Racing team from the beginning.

Following an illustrious 20-year riding career in which he was latterly associated with the team as stable jockey, Noel hung up his boots in 2019. The fairytale finale came at Newbury aboard the Harry Fry Racing trained Get In The Queue, ending a stellar campaign that amassed 1353 winners and 27 Grade 1’s.

He recalls fondly that one of his best days in the saddle was aboard Unowhatimeanharry following a win in the Champion Stayers Hurdle at Punchestown in 2017. It was a Grade 1 moment that he shared with his parents for the first time.

Following retirement, Noel has continued to ride out for the yard on a weekly basis, he is a wise counsel, and his knowledge and understanding of horses bears the hallmark of years at the top. Aside from being a valuable racing advisor to the team, Noel also runs his own syndicate, Noel Fehily Racing. This features several smart prospects in training at Higher Crockermoor.

A decision to move to England in 2015 was an opportunity to broaden his knowledge of racehorse training, joining Philip Hobbs for four seasons. During lunchtimes, he embarked on training his point-to-pointer, Hello George, which he successfully rode to victory on only their second start together.

A confident horseman, there is no doubt he will contribute greatly to the success of the yard as Pupil Assistant. Day-to-day, Nathan rides out in the mornings before assisting in the yard and learning every aspect of the industry and racehorse training programs. Chatty and approachable, he looks forward to meeting all the yard’s owners over the coming months.

Tim started riding at the age of 22 when joining the Northern Racing College. His first job in racing was with Philip Hobbs; here, he worked up through the ranks joining as a Stable Lad before becoming Pupil Assistant. Two years as Assistant Trainer to Michael Bell followed at a time when the yard enjoyed high profile successes with Sariska and Art Connoisseur; this proceeded stints with Olly Murphy and Alan King.

As Travelling Head Lad, Tim will organise all the racing logistics and is responsible for ensuring horses are delivered to the racecourse in peak condition. With expertise both on and off the track he has incredible attention to detail.

Greg Drummond

Greg enjoyed four years at Horse First Racing followed by time overseas, where he travelled as a musician to countries like France, Italy, and Morocco. He returned to racing to ride work for Paul Nicholls before working for The Owners Group’s Greenlands Farm as Maintenance Manager.

Now at Harry Fry Racing, he will maintain the gallop surfaces between lots, before sorting any problems around the yard. Professional and incredibly practical, he has a great skill set and will be very involved in the day-to-day processes at Higher Crockermoor.
