SEPTEMBER RACING REVIEW: MISS GOLDFIRE, GEORGIA’S CHARM, HIGH FIBRE

 In Uncategorized

Confidence was high for Miss Goldfire to get off the mark in her Maiden Hurdle at Worcester, but after turning into the home straight in contention, she couldn’t quite build on her second-place effort from last time out. Only five years old, she now has a competitive handicap hurdle mark, which should see her in the winners’ enclosure soon.

Georgia’s Charm joined us at the end of last season after a promising start for Margaret Mullins in Ireland. Her debut for us in an Open National Hunt Flat Race at Warwick last week turned into a tactical affair, but there was much to like in her attitude and racing style as she quickened nicely to finish a game second.

High Fibre underwent wind surgery before his recent run at Kempton on the all weather. Unfortunately, the writing was on the wall from the start, as he was slowly away. He now heads to Salisbury on Thursday, where we hope for a bolder showing.
