GEEZER ROCKSTAR BACK IN THE WINNERS’ ENCLOSURE

 In Uncategorized
It was lovely to see Geezer Rockstar bounce back to form with a fluent success in a Class 4 handicap hurdle over two miles five furlongs at Wincanton on Wednesday 1 April.
You could see early on that he was much happier on the drying spring ground and Bryan Carver sensibly kept things simple by having his mount handy from the off.
Geezer Rockstar then led two out and readily saw off the opposition in the colours of his four owners Doubtfire, Haring, Thornton and Davies.
Geezer Rockstar took a while to get over a procedure on his back last summer but he’s in very good form now and given that he always seems to run well at this time of year we’ll look to keep the ball rolling with ground conditions in his favour.
One tempting option is to bring him back to Wincanton on Sunday week for a 0-130 handicap hurdle over the same distance.
Before then I am looking forward to taking three or four horses to Aintree’s Grand National with the Melling Chase the target for Gidleigh Park after a frustrating campaign.
