LA CADALORA AND SORGEAN RECORD A DOUBLE AT WINCANTON

 In Uncategorized
A double at Wincanton on Sunday 12 April took our score for the season to twenty-five from the thirty-five horses we have run this campaign.
The cards did not fall our way at Aintree’s Grand National meeting and it was good to bounce back to form so quickly at our local track with both our winners ridden by Bryan Carver.
La Cadalora was the first to strike on her second start in a two mile maiden hurdle.
She is the first horse owned by group of families who live in the area and race under the banner of the Beckford Chasers. They certainly had plenty to celebrate as she won stylishly.
La Cadalora had improved plenty for her hurdles debut and could run again in a novice hurdle in two or three weeks’ time under a penalty.
Sorgean then completed a rewarding afternoon for our team in the colours of Gary Firmager in the valuable mares’ bumper transferred from Cheltenham.
On her first run since joining us from Ireland she travelled strongly before easing ahead in the straight and winning with something to spare.
Sorgean will be turned away now and will be switched to hurdles in the autumn. She has schooled well at home and should hopefully give Gary and his family plenty of fun.
