LOVE ENVOI EXTENDS WINNING RUN
Love Envoi extended her impressive run of success with a totally dominant display in a Class 1 Listed Mares’ Hurdle over two and a half miles at Sandown on Saturday 7 January ridden by Johnny Burke.
Her victory came as the first half of a tremendous double for the Noel Fehily Racing Club who a little later landed the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle with Tahmuras.
Love Envoi is getting more professional with experience and settled better this time in the early stages before moving closer half way down the back straight. She led going easily at the third last, was in full flow rounding the final bend and kept on relentlessly to beat last year’s winner Martello Sky by thirteen lengths.
I’m delighted that Love Envoi has maintained her progress from last season. Johnny felt the race was over turning for home and her jumping was very good at Sandown.
She seems to thrive on her racing and runs next in another Listed Mares’ Hurdle at Warwick on February 11 before a crack at the David Nicholson Mares’ Hurdle on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival.
