SHERMINATOR MAKES THE PERFECT START FOR THE TEAM
We started Cheltenham week in the best possible way with the success of Sherminator at Taunton on his first start since joining us six weeks ago.
Just over half an hour later, High Fibre briefly promised to complete a double for the yard before finishing second to Fasol.
Sherminator travelled well from the start, jumped accurately, led three furlongs out and drew clear in the closing stages for an impressive victory given that he was carrying a 7lbs penalty for his maiden win which came when he was trained by Emma Lavelle.
He’s a progressive type who was bought by the River Dee Stables and sent to us in January.
I’ll see how he comes out of the race before making any plans, but given that he is only four and has had quite a busy time, we might leave him alone now and look forward to next season with him.
We’ve had a frustrating number of seconds this season but the horses continue to run well and it’s good to have three chances at Cheltenham on Wednesday.
Might I and Beat The Bat are both running in the Coral Cup while Idaho Sun goes in the bumper.
