SHERMINATOR WINS AT LUDLOW

It was good to see Sherminator back in the winning groove in a Novice Hurdle at Ludlow on Wednesday in the colours of the Riverdee Stables after his heavy fall at Cheltenham in December on his first start of the season.

We deliberately lowered our sights to give him confidence and he jumped well in the main before seeing off the persistent challenge of First Candidate by three quarters of a length.

I’d like to think there is more to come from Sherminator, who joined the yard partway through last season and then made the perfect start for us in a junior NH Hurdle at Taunton in March.

He showed a willing attitude at Ludlow, handled the soft ground there, has won three of his four starts over hurdles and is progressing nicely.

We can now look to probably going into handicap company which will give us more options.
