STANNERS GLEN AND HIGH FIBRE PROVIDE AN ACROSS THE CARD DOUBLE

 In Uncategorized
We are currently operating at a strike rate of more than 40% and a double on Monday 23 March further advertised the fine form of our team.
With Stanners Glen winning impressively from the front at Wincanton and High Fibre completing a rewarding afternoon with a fluent success at Kempton our horses could hardly be in better shape.
I deliberately waited for better ground for Stanners Gold who jumped much better on the drying ground in the two mile maiden hurdle, got racing a long way out and kept on strongly to beat Kilnew Supreme by three lengths.
His jumping left a fair bit to be desired on his hurdles debut for us at Taunton but we have worked hard on it since then and he is much more professional now.
I’m hoping Stanners Gold might get into a valuable novice handicap hurdle at Sandown on the final day of the season though we also have the option of running him in a novice hurdle under a penalty.
Further ahead he should make up into an exciting novice over fences next season.
I was hopeful of a decent show at Kempton from High Fibre now that he has dropped to a competitive mark and he lived up to expectations in a two mile handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys.
He travelled kindly for Ciaran O’Shea, eased to the front at the second last flight and came clear without being hard pressed.
We will look to go again with High Fibre at Stratford on Saturday or Ludlow on Monday before he is re-assessed.
