STAR WALKING SHINES AT KEMPTON
Star Walking completed a tremendous twenty-four hours for our team with a determined victory in a competitive three-mile mares’ handicap hurdle at Kempton on Saturday 27 December in the colours of the Noel Fehily syndicate.
It came hot on the heels of Idaho Sun’s sparkling success in a Grade 1 hurdle at Aintree the previous afternoon.
With Boothill and Trustintimes also in the money at Kempton we could hardly have had a more rewarding Christmas.
Tough and genuine, Star Walking was forced to dig deep after starting up the run-in a length behind Holly Hartingo.
The finish was extremely tight, but the photo showed that she had got up in the last few strides by a head to the delight of her enthusiastic group of owners.
Star Walking is proving very consistent, and was winning off a mark of 116, so we might now start to look for a suitable race for her that offers black type.
