TRUSTINTIMES WINS AT KEMPTON

Trustintimes fulfilled the promise of his racecourse debut at Exeter in October with a pleasing success in the junior bumper at Kempton on Saturday 15 March in the colours of the Time on Our Hands Boys syndicate.

With Sherminator successful at Taunton on Monday and Beat The Bat and Idaho Sun running extremely well at Cheltenham on Wednesday it has been a good week for our team.

Trustintimes spoiled his chance on his second start at Wincanton by racing with the choke out on ground that was probably softer than ideal.

He was much better suited by the drier conditions at Kempton and travelled kindly for Bryan Carver behind the leaders before moving up to challenge in the straight and winning a shade cosily by half a length.

His experience certainly helped against rivals who were mostly making their debuts.

I might try to give him a run over hurdles early in May at the start of the new season before putting him away because he is not a summer horse.

Then it will be a case of training him for a late autumn campaign.
