MISS GOLDFIRE TAKES HER TALLY TO FIVE WINS
Miss Goldfire and Ciaran O’Shea were back in the winning groove at Newton Abbot on Wednesday, 3 June, after a rare blip last time when they parted company while travelling strongly at Fontwell.
They have now shared four victories and made short work of the opposition in a Class 4 mares’ handicap hurdle over three and a quarter miles in the colours of the Harry Fry racing syndicate.
Miss Goldfire is steadily improving, stays very well and is quick and accurate over her hurdles. We know her level, and hopefully, she can continue to give her owners plenty more fun over the summer.
She appreciates nice ground at this time of year, but a look at the programme books suggests finding another suitable mares’ handicap in her grade over staying distances is proving challenging.
So maybe we will have to ask her to take on the boys.
