WHITE HART LADY SUCCESSFUL OVER FENCES

 In Uncategorized

I was delighted to see Lorcan Murtagh back to winning form on White Hart Lady at Lingfield on Tuesday 15 November in the colours of the Chasing Gold Racing Club.

He was out for a long time after sustaining a broken thigh in five places early in January  and has worked so hard to get back to full fitness.

Lorcan is a key member of our team at home and gave White Hart Lady a lovely, patient ride on their way to an impressive success on her second start over fences.

They managed to avoid a fair bit of carnage in the race, led going well two out and stretched clear to win by eighteen lengths from The Real Jet.

White Hart Lady had run well up to a point when second on unsuitably quick ground at Worcester despite jumping a bit novicey and was much happier on the rain softened going at Lingfield in a mares’ Handicap Chase.

She is now qualified for the final of a Mares’ Chase at Hereford but that is over three miles so I may look at a race for her over a little shorter at Cheltenham next month.

Further ahead I imagine she will run in a mares’ novice handicap chase at Lingfield in January at the meeting where we recorded a double with Love Envoi and Metier ten months ago.
