HANDICAP HURDLE SUCCESS FOR LITTERALE CI

 In Uncategorized

Aine O’Connor’s early start to the day paid off with another handicap success over hurdles on Litterale Ci at Newton Abbot on Saturday 20 August.

A journey that started at 3 am to make sure she caught her flight from Ireland ended in the winner’s enclosure almost twelve hours later.

Horse and rider have a fine record together including a victory in this race over two miles, five and a half furlongs in 2018 when they beat stable companion Serosevsky. They also finished runners up in the same race at Newton Abbot twelve months ago. Litterale Ci has been covered twice by Crystal Ocean this year but failed to get in foal so will stay in training this autumn while the ground remains in her favour. Then she will be off to stud in Ireland.

She is versatile, has won a total of nine races and given her owner JP McManus a lot of fun. It was good to see Litterale Ci come out on top after a sustained duel with Vision Des Flos in the closing stages on Saturday. As she only does what she has to do at home I’d like to think she should find a little improvement for the outing.
